When I first settled in Los Angeles around 1980, my art career was going absolutely nowhere! until I sublet studio space with another LA artist, who was being represented by an art agent named Kelly Gerod, who also happened to be the best friend, of an up and coming Hollywood actress, married to a painter whose work was very much like my own, But their relationship was anything but smooth! as she felt the husband, was only using her notoriety, and contacts, to further his own art career! So the two girlfriends decided to start promoting my work in lieu of the husbands. It’s amazing how fast things can happen when you get connected to influential people, even in a city as daunting as Los Angeles! They took me to parties at expensive LA Homes, introduced me to Movie stars and television personalities who were known art buyers. People I could never have met on my own. To be continued!
